Forever Grateful
We are so thankful to our Lord Jesus and to Jakeb’s birth mother for the precious little boy that entered our lives on Tuesday, November 16th. We received the phone call from Holly & Trena around 8:25 in the evening. When we realized who it was on the other end of the phone our hearts skipped a beat and we were anxious to know what they wanted to share with us. They asked us if we were ready to be parents again and told us that we had a son who was born on October 20th. They sent us pictures of a beautiful baby boy only 4 days old. When we first laid eyes on him, we were speechless and tears started flowing from our eyes. He was the most beautiful, breathtaking baby I had ever seen. We fell in love with him instantly. Actually we fell in love with him before we even knew he existed. God connected our spirits with him and his birth mommy. Our hearts went out to her when we learned that she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. We prayed that God would give her strength and peace as she had to make decisions about her and her son’s future. We are forever grateful to this beautiful, young lady for giving her son life and bringing him into this world. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain that she felt as she decided to make a selfless choice to place him with our family. We decided to name our new son Jakeb (given name from his birth mom) Denson. We promise to love and cherish him forever. We will always honor his birth mommy for bringing him into this world and giving him a chance to grow and to learn about the love of Jesus. We pray that Jesus would wrap His arms around Jakeb’s birth mommy and show her how much He loves her.

Joyce,
ReplyDeleteHe is a beautiful baby and I find myself just staring at his gorgeous face. He just LOOKS like yours and Jeff's son:-) That is GOD!!! I feel so blessed to have traveled this journey with you and your family and cannot wait to see Jakeb in your arms. What a blessed day that will be. Your faithfulness has been an inspiration to me and I know that one day soon I will also see my daughter for the first time and know that she was divinely chosen for me:-) God Bless you and your family!!!
I have loved the name Jakeb (or Jacob) since I heard Becky Terabassi speak several years ago. God changed her life through learning to connect with Him in prayer. She had a son Jacob and used the Psalms as she prayed over him. I thought these verses might be meaningful to you:
ReplyDeletePsalm 135:4, "For the LORD has chosen Jacob to be his own, Israel to be his treasured possession."
Psalm 147:19, "He has revealed his word to Jacob, his laws and decrees to Israel."
Psalm 146:5, "How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, Whose hope is in the LORD his God,"
